B.Sc. (Non-Medical)
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with twelve laboratory hours a week — no shortcuts.
Computing with a mathematics spine — for students who want the theory, not just the tools.
The difference between this programme and BCA is emphasis. BCA is application-focused and produces developers quickly. B.Sc. Computer Science keeps Mathematics and Physics alongside computing, which makes the first two years harder and the postgraduate options wider — particularly M.Sc. Computer Science, MCA and data-science programmes that test mathematical aptitude at entry.
Students take the same laboratory infrastructure as BCA — two computer centres, 110 systems on a 200 Mbps leased line — but their coursework leans towards algorithms, discrete structures and operating systems rather than framework-driven project work.
Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics, minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.
Data structures, discrete mathematics and automata taught properly, not skipped in favour of tooling.
Calculus, linear algebra and statistics continue through the degree — the entry requirement for most M.Sc. and data programmes.
Two computer centres, 110 systems, licensed software and open practice hours outside timetabled classes.
Weekend problem-solving sessions and the annual 24-hour CodeAgrasen hackathon.
The structure below follows the Kurukshetra University syllabus under the NEP 2020 framework. Papers are revised by the university periodically — the department publishes the current detailed syllabus at the start of each session.
Where our graduates from this programme actually go — based on alumni records, not projections.
M.Sc. Computer Science, MCA or a data-science masters — the strongest reason to choose this over BCA.
Entry developer roles, particularly where a strong fundamentals interview is involved.
Mathematics plus Python makes the analyst track genuinely accessible.
NIELIT, banking IT officer and state e-governance recruitment.
M.Sc. plus NET for college lectureship in computer science.
A common and stable entry point for graduates who prefer structured work.
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with twelve laboratory hours a week — no shortcuts.
Botany, Zoology and Chemistry with real fieldwork — and honest support for NEET repeaters.
The full commerce degree, plus the software that finance departments actually run on.
