Mission & Vision

Our Purpose

Why This College Exists

Every institution writes a mission statement. Ours is short enough to remember and specific enough to be held against us.

Our Mission

To make affordable, high-quality higher education accessible to every deserving student of the Yamunanagar region — irrespective of gender, caste, medium of schooling or family income — and to develop in them the competence, character and confidence required to earn a dignified livelihood.

  • Keep tuition within reach of a daily-wage household
  • Teach in a way that a Hindi-medium student is never left behind
  • Certify a skill alongside every degree
  • Publish results, audits and shortcomings honestly

Our Vision

To be recognised among the finest rural-urban degree colleges of North India — an institution where academic rigour, digital fluency and Indian values grow together rather than compete, and where a graduate from Jagadhri walks into any interview room in the country without apology.

  • NAAC 'A' grade at the next accreditation cycle
  • 60% placement or higher-study conversion by 2030
  • A research paper from every department, every year
  • A fully carbon-neutral campus
What We Stand For

Six Core Values

These are not posters on a wall. Each one maps to a rule, a committee or a budget line.

Integrity

Internal assessment marks are displayed on the notice board before submission to the university. Any student may contest them within 72 hours.

Equity

Remedial classes for students scoring below 45%, free textbooks for BPL families, and ramps and accessible washrooms in all three blocks.

Curiosity

A departmental seminar every fortnight where students — not faculty — present. Attendance is voluntary; participation is not graded.

Empathy

A full-time counsellor, a confidential grievance box and a mentor-mentee system pairing every 20 students with one faculty member.

Service

Every student completes at least 30 hours of community work through NSS, NCC or the Youth Red Cross before final-year registration.

Sustainability

Solar power meets 34% of campus demand, all admission forms are digital, and the Eco Club audits waste every quarter.

Build a Research Culture

Establish a minor research grant fund and require one peer-reviewed publication per department annually.

Deepen Industry Linkage
