B.Sc. (Computer Science)
Computing with a mathematics spine — for students who want the theory, not just the tools.
The full commerce degree, plus the software that finance departments actually run on.
This programme keeps the entire B.Com. core — financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, business law — and replaces a set of elective papers with applied computing: accounting software, spreadsheet modelling, management information systems and e-commerce.
It exists because the accounts department of a modern firm is a software environment. A graduate who can build a cost model in Excel, reconcile ledgers in Tally and understand how an ERP posts entries is doing a different job from one who has only studied the theory of those entries.
Pass in 10+2 from any stream with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.
Pivot tables, lookup functions, scenario analysis and dashboard building, taught in the computer centre.
Tally ERP in depth, plus an introduction to how ERP systems record and post financial transactions.
Payment gateways, GST on digital sales, and the compliance side of online retail.
Building the reports a management team actually reads, rather than describing them in the abstract.
The structure below follows the Kurukshetra University syllabus under the NEP 2020 framework. Papers are revised by the university periodically — the department publishes the current detailed syllabus at the start of each session.
Where our graduates from this programme actually go — based on alumni records, not projections.
The most direct route — firms hiring for accounts roles prefer software-ready graduates.
Excel-heavy reporting and MIS roles in mid-sized firms and shared-service centres.
Return filing, reconciliation and compliance work, including independent practice.
IBPS and private-bank roles, where computer proficiency is a stated requirement.
Functional-consultant entry roles for graduates who take to the systems side.
M.Com., MBA (Finance or Systems) or a postgraduate diploma in business analytics.
Computing with a mathematics spine — for students who want the theory, not just the tools.
Accounting, tax and finance — with free Tally ERP and GST certification built into the degree.
Open to every stream, project-driven throughout, and our most placement-active programme.
