B.Sc. (Medical)

Botany, Zoology and Chemistry with real fieldwork — and honest support for NEET repeaters.

A large proportion of students who join B.Sc. Medical are also preparing for NEET a second time. We have stopped pretending otherwise. The timetable is arranged so that theory classes finish by early afternoon, and the department openly permits and supports parallel entrance preparation rather than penalising it.

For students who commit to the degree itself, the strength of this programme is fieldwork. The botany herbarium is curated by students under Dr. Verma, and the zoology museum holds specimens collected across four decades. Field trips to the Kalesar forest and the Yamuna floodplain form part of the assessed coursework.

Who Can Apply

Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).

Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.

Questions

Frequently Asked About This Course

Yes. Theory classes are scheduled to finish by early afternoon precisely because a significant share of this cohort is attempting NEET again. Attendance requirements still apply, but the timetable is designed not to collide with evening coaching.

You may withdraw and claim a refund as per the university's notified refund schedule, which depends on the date of withdrawal. Speak to the accounts office before submitting the withdrawal application.

The field survey component carries credit and its report is assessed, so yes. Costs are kept minimal and the college subsidises transport; students facing genuine financial difficulty should speak to the department head.

M.Sc. followed by teaching or research is the most common route from this cohort, and medical laboratory technology is the fastest path to employment. Both are genuine careers, not consolation prizes.
