Vocational

B.Voc. (Software Development)

Sixty percent hands-on practice, NSQF-aligned exit certificates, and a degree at the end of it.

B.Voc. is deliberately different from BCA. The credit split is roughly sixty percent skill component and forty percent general education, which means most of your week is spent building rather than listening. It is designed for students who learn by doing and who want employability at the earliest possible point.

The NSQF structure gives real exit awards: a Diploma after year one, an Advanced Diploma after year two, and the B.Voc. degree after year three. A student who has to start earning after one year leaves with a recognised qualification rather than nothing, and may return later to complete the degree.

Who Can Apply

Pass in 10+2 from any recognised board, any stream. No minimum percentage requirement.

Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.

Questions

Frequently Asked About This Course

Both are UGC-recognised bachelor's degrees and both make you a graduate. The difference is emphasis: B.Voc. is skill-weighted and shorter on theory, BCA is more balanced. For further study such as MCA, both are accepted; for a research-oriented M.Sc., BCA or B.Sc. is the safer choice.

If you leave after year one you receive an NSQF-aligned Diploma; after year two, an Advanced Diploma; after year three, the B.Voc. degree. These are recognised qualifications, not internal certificates, and you may re-enter to complete the degree later.

No. The first semester starts from programming logic with no assumptions. What the programme does assume is that you will spend the practical hours actually practising — this is not a course that can be passed by reading before the examination.

Yes. The third-year capstone is built for an actual client — usually a local business, a college department or an NGO — and is assessed with the client present at the demonstration.
