B.Com. (Honours)

Accounting, tax and finance — with free Tally ERP and GST certification built into the degree.

B.Com. is our largest professional programme and the one with the clearest employment path. The syllabus covers financial and cost accounting, business law, corporate finance and taxation, and every enrolled student may take the Tally ERP and GST certification free of charge alongside it.

That certification matters more than it sounds. Recruiters in Yamunanagar — banks, plywood units, chartered accountancy firms — tell our placement cell repeatedly that they will take a graduate who already knows Tally over one who does not, at the same salary. Our alumni entering CA articleship report the same advantage.

Who Can Apply

Pass in 10+2 from any stream with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Commerce at 10+2 is preferred but not required.

Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.

Questions

Frequently Asked About This Course

Yes — around a third of each B.Com. batch comes from Arts or Science backgrounds. The department runs a bridge module in the first six weeks covering basic book-keeping and accounting terminology, which is enough to catch up.

Yes. It is one of the six skill-enhancement certificate courses included in your fee, and every enrolled student may take up to two such courses per academic year. Classes run outside regular teaching hours.

Many of our students do. The first-year syllabus overlaps heavily with CA Foundation, and the department schedules internal assessments to avoid clashing with ICAI examination dates wherever the calendar allows.

The core commerce syllabus is the same. The computer applications variant replaces some elective papers with accounting software, e-commerce, MIS and spreadsheet modelling. Choose it if you want a finance role with a technology edge.
