B.A. (Humanities)
The widest subject choice on campus, and the degree that opens the most competitive-examination doors.
For students who already know they want to teach, counsel or work with children.
This combination exists because a very large share of our students end up in schools — as teachers, as counsellors, or running their own coaching institutes. Studying education theory and child psychology together, three years before B.Ed. rather than after it, produces noticeably better teachers.
The programme includes a compulsory school observation component: students spend structured hours in local government and private schools, record classroom observations and present them. It is the part of the course our alumni mention most often when they come back.
Pass in 10+2 from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.
Structured placement in local schools from the second year, with observation journals assessed as coursework.
Dedicated papers on learning difficulties, disability and teaching in mixed-ability rural classrooms.
Basic counselling skills, adolescent psychology and a supervised peer-support practicum.
Graduates are eligible for B.Ed. and, with CTET, for primary and TGT posts in Haryana schools.
The structure below follows the Kurukshetra University syllabus under the NEP 2020 framework. Papers are revised by the university periodically — the department publishes the current detailed syllabus at the start of each session.
Where our graduates from this programme actually go — based on alumni records, not projections.
